ALTA is an open-source library for BRDF analysis. It can read a wide variety of BRDF data formats, provides fitting algorithms for parametric and non-parametric BRDF models, and exports fits to code.

It is possible to use ALTA to render images of acquired or fitted materials in Mitsuba using specific plugins. For example here you can find a plugin for Mitsuba.
